The purpose of this class is twofold:

1-Sharing the knowledge and techniques of our carpenter Daiku with the participants

2 Carpenter Daiku learning to have good communication with their  clients

 

The class will be held two times a year on spring (Mar to Jun) and autumn (Oct to Dec).

It is open to public, and it has been continuing for nearly 15 years!

 

DIY can be fun for everybody, because you can actually see the achievements as you proceed.

Some of the veteran participants are more equipped and more experienced than our Daiku carpenters, but still it is joyful for them to share knowledge and discuss their designs and techniques with our Daiku carpenters and other participants.

 

This weekend, the class will be broadcast LIVE via satellite to China.

The Chinese national broadcast (“CCTV”) has recognized our devotion to this activity as valuable in preserving and nurturing DIY wood crafts in Japan.

 

It would be very interesting to see the reactions from China.
