Japanese Lacquer and Architecture

Nihon University student who is scheduled to graduate next March, visited our company to hear stories from one of our Japanese Lacquer meisters.

She will be writing a thesis on “Japanese Lacquer and Architecture”.

Because her father is a Japanese Lacquer artist, her dream is to blend Japanese Lacquer into architecture. So far, we are the ONLY construction company with the same concept.

There is little reason why Japanese Lacquer should not be used for architecture, because Japanese Lacquers are;

-waterproof

-soft and smooth

-protection against insect

-fireproof

and above all, simply beautiful.

Our strategy is to digest value adding construction process in-house.

e.g. foundation building artisans and wood building carpenters

The more time consuming, the more value adding, the better.

Japanese Lacquer is definitely our new target.

We will see.
